O PUB-Boston fará o encontro de Setembro juntamente com a Boston University na abertura do Brazilian Free Spirit Film Festival, no dia 29 de Setembro.

Não perca a abertura com talk de Guilherme Whitaker, curador da mostra.

Neste festival de 3 dias (Set 29 e Out 1-2), serão exibidos mais de 10 filmes brasileiros, com cineastas veteranos como Júlio Bressane e novos nomes do cinema independente como Valentina Homem e Arthur Tuoto. No Brazil, os filmes foram exibidos no Rio, São Paulo, Belo Horizonte e Niterói, e Boston será a última etapa deste festival internacional.

Todos os filmes terão legendas em inglês. Os filmes foram produzidos em 2015 e 2016 e a maioria será estreia nos EUA. Esta é uma oportunidade incomum de assistir ao mais recente cinema independente brasileiro.

Dear Colleagues,

I am writing to invite you to the "Brazilian Free Spirit Film Festival" at Boston University on Sept. 29, Oct. 2 and 3 starting at 6:30pm each day.

It is the last leg of "Mostra do Filme Livre 2017", the largest independent film festival in Brazil, which hold screenings in Rio, São Paulo, Belo Horizonte and Niterói.

On Sept. 29, the opening night, the festival will take place together with the monthly meeting of the Brazilian Association of Researchers in Boston (PUB-Boston). During the 3-day event, we will show a total of 10 films from Brazilian veterans like Júlio Bressane to new names of Brazilian independent cinema such as Valentina Homem and Arthur Tuoto.

All films will have English subtitles. Films were produced in 2015 and 2016 and some are US premieres. This is an uncommon opportunity to watch the latest of Brazilian independent cinema.

Opening night will have the presence of Guilherme Whitaker, festival curator."
