Brazil-Today, the Consulate-General of Brazil in Boston, PUBBoston (Pesquisadadores e Universitários Brasileiros em Boston) and Foley Hoag LLP are pleased to be jointly hosting a reception and panel discussion on the very real possibilities and very real challenges of moving from the world of ideas and research to the marketplace.
A pivotal topic for almost all in Boston’s ‘innovation economy,’ the move from the laboratory to the business suite is a particularly sensitive issue for the many Brazilian researchers and innovators working in the region’s universities, research institutes, and public and private incubation initiatives.
PUBBoston, with over 1000 members, symbolizes the enormous potential – for the US and Brazil – of the Brazilian academic and research community.
Marcia Fournier, Founder and CEO of BioArray Therapeutics, Inc. (Bioarray) and Vitor Pamplona, Co-Founder and CTO of EyeNetra Inc. (EyeNetra)- two researchers who have made the journey from ‘classroom’ to ‘boardroom’ – will share their experience and their insight joined by Gil Arie of Foley Hoag LLP (Foley Hoag) who has guided multiple entrepreneurs and investors from around the world in establishing successful businesses.
The reception and discussion are free and open to the public– join us for the networking and the learning at District Hall, Boston’s newest ’innovation’ venue next door to the Mass Challenge space and ICA.
Pre-Registration via EventBrite (no fee) would be appreciated (to help us make the appropriate hospitality arrangements).
